MY IBD STORY
High school. First time I saw blood.
No clue why, just fear.
Toilet trips constantly. Missing class.
Dropped out. Too scared to tell anyone.
Drugs. Alcohol. Numbing the pain.
Hiding from reality, no future in sight.
Family noticed. Doctor’s office. Blood tests.
“Low iron, anemia, maybe gluten.”
Steroids. Iron pills. No change.
Hospital. Specialist. Colonoscopy booked.
Worst day ever—too sore, too severe to finish.
Diagnosis: Crohn’s or colitis. They couldn’t say.
Nineteen. On an infliximab drip.
50kg, a bag of bones, surrounded by illness.
Still chasing numbness with substances.
I gave up. Surrendered to my disease.
Seven years. Blood. Mucus. Pain.
Depression. Isolation. No job. No life.
I hated everything.
Then, I met my partner.
Everything changed. She got pregnant.
A reason to fight. A reason to live.
I started a journey—one I’m still on.
Turning my pain into power.
From rock bottom to resilience.
Now, I coach IBD warriors like you.
Fitness, diet, mindset—tailored to thrive.
Let’s make Crohn’s and colitis our strength.
Not our story.
